They seem unpredictable
As much as they want to stick to a schedule and to be at home for all vacations, birthdays and celebrations, they simply can’t promise this. Their working hours are not like those of an office worker who works Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. So, you might as well forget about being able to see him every weekend sweetie.
They have some incredible stories
Exaggerated or not, their war or service stories or stories are exciting to hear. Most of all they will be very proud of their missions helping civilians, unsurprisingly, so be prepared to hear the same old war stories over and over again, especially when you’re out with friends.

One great thing about the military is that you are exposed to different cultures, places and people. A military man will have a lot of knowledge about other areas and other ways of doing things, so take note that sometimes he may have a frivolous or superficial nature because of all the knowledge and experience he has gained from all his travels.
