Let’s face it, while you will likely order many different drinks over the course of your life, you always have that one go-to-drink you consistently order at bars and restaurants. Did you know that your drink order can say a lot about you?  Similar to the saying, you can learn a lot about someone by the company they keep, you can also learn a lot by someone’s drink order.

With hours logged of drinks ordering under my belt and people watching near and far, it is in good spirit and fun that I share what your favourite drink says about you:

1. Bottle Service <insert alcohol of choice>

“Hey everyone, look at meeeee!” You love the attention of sparklers and bottle babes making a beeline to your table delivering your favourite bottles… and you don’t mind dropping $$$ for it.  Side note: I’ve personally witnessed some crazy ordering that ended up with 20+ unopened bottles and also giving away the bottles to other party go-ers.  That was an insane night out.

2. Bloody Mary

“I’m hungover.” You are most likely nursing your hangover with an extra spicy class of Bloody Mary and rallying to have a productive next day.  This favourite drink says you love being “healthy” and “responsible” at the same time.

3. Champagne

“Let’s celebrate!” You are thoughtful and you value life’s milestones, whether it’s a birthday, hen do, job promotion, or surviving the pandemic, you want to raise a glass and say ‘cheers!’

But since that was 2000 and late, you also appreciate things that are tried and true.

5. Draft Beer

“I’ll drink whatever’s on tap!” You love beer, any beer.  You are not fussy, but easy-going and love shooting the breeze.

“I am picky about my beers.” You know your lagers vs. ale and are not afraid to exercise that knowledge and discover the latest craft beer brew. You are definitely detailed oriented, opinionated, yet adventurous.

7. Espresso Martini

“I want to have a good night out!”  This favourite drink is the classier version of Red Bull and vodka. You are classy, love a good buzz, and want to party till the break of dawn.

8. Guinness

“I love a good pint!” You are not afraid of a heavy drink, a drink with as much calories as a meal. You are cool, collected, and self-assured.

(aka. a mix of anything and everything)– “I’m ready for a dance off!” This favourite drink says you’re resourceful, creative and spontaneous.  There’s no shortage of alcohol, or fun, when you’re around.

13. Mojito

“Sorry, I panicked ordered.” You don’t get out much and when you do, you always end up panic picking because you are nervous to try something new.

“I love a summer garden in my drink.”  You’re in it for the booze, but without the calories. Perfect for your keto diet.  As the official favourite drink of Wimbledon, you most likely appreciate tradition and culture.

16. Red Wine

“I would rather be home in my joggers.” You would rather have a nice night in vs. night out. Youare low-key and value alone time.

17. Rosé

“I love day drinking and living my best life.”  Seeing pink in a glass just automatically makes you happy.  You are optimistic, outgoing, and charming.  Rosé all day, please.
